Description

A new landfill entrance road for Waste Management required the cut and fill of 125,000 cubic yards of earth. Sharma General Engineering Contractors handled that component of the project and also installed sewer, storm drain, water lines and electrical lines. In addition, the Sharma team managed subcontractor for install of curb and gutters, sidewalks, light standards and poles, v-ditches, splash walls, catch basins and headwalls. To finish the project, they based, paved and striped the new road and installed new traffic signals.

Challenges

The chief challenge in this project was to coordinate various trades without disturbing the ongoing flow of landfill traffic.
